Arcadia Adirondacks
Found throughout the vicinity on the lawns in front of homes, ranging from the new-build country mansions to the three-bedroom mid-century ranch, is the Adirondack chair. This all-weather lawn chair was designed by Thomas Lee and inspired by his need for a summer chair when he was vacationing in Westport, New York, in the early 1900s. Originally made of 11 wooden boards, it was patented and has made its way to many homes throughout our area, looking comfortably at-home among glasses of wine, bikes and kids’ toys.
